    New shower - bad smell
    Hello
I am new to all that is plumbing. I recently got my apartment renovated. They split the old kitchen into a shower room and an open kitchen. The toilet is completely separate. Since moving in, there has been a consistent smell as though in a greenhouse and often a bad rotten egg smell coming from the drain in the shower. The kitchen is fine. The shower base is quite high off the ground but when I lift the piece that blocks the evidence of a hole, there is always water sitting there and it does not look like others I have seen before. I am not sure how to stop the smell... do I just put a product in or is there a way to get rid of the problem forever.. Please help!

Go to you local plumbing wholesle and ask for a TRAP GUARD. Home depot and Lowe's WILL NOT CARRY THIS
After getting this lift shower strainer use siliocon and make a small bead around it and put it in the "hole " into the p-trap put strainer back on
On second thought being as you are in france I do not know if they have trap gaurds over there just now noticed that
