Check out recipes for the Mediterranean Diet. I just read an article about how people who follow the dietary guidelines for that diet have a lesser chance of developing Alzheimer's Disease, not to mention the heart healthy aspect of the diet.

    Here are some links:

    Mediterranean Diet
The mediterranean diet and food. Mediterranean diet details and mediterranean food exports.
Mediterranean diet for heart health - MayoClinic.com
Mediterranean Diet recipes, cookbook, food pyramid, food, and more...

I need to add, to always check with your doctor and ask to be referred to a dietician who can review your goals and offer you guidance - meal plans, recipes, ideas, etc.

The main thing for eating healthy is to cut out junk foods with chemicals and preservatives
Use butter, olive oil, and other healthy oils like flax, grape seed, and sesame.
Do not use the usual vegetable oils like corn, canola, or hydrogenated oils etc
Get plenty of omega fatty acids
Switch to fine granule sea salt.
    Cut back on sugar.
    Eat non fat activated yogurt
Also eat a piece of fresh citrus fruit in the morning (and throughout the day if you want)
I am addicted to pepsi so I have been trying to drink more water and making fresh fruit juices and fruit smoothies.

I have read in a few places to not drink anything from 1/2 an hour before you eat until 1 hour after you eat because it messes with your digestive acids.

I like Chinese pepper steak and stir fries cook in olive oil or sesame oil
I use garlic, onions, mushrooms, red and green peppers, snap or snow peas and shredded carrots (and sometimes mung beans).
