What is the proper way to ask a pastor to marry you?

Would you like to ellaborate? What kind of pastor? What denomination? Is this pastor single? So many questions and I am sorry but it needs to be asked before giving you a definite answer.

Do you mean you want to ask him to officiate at your wedding? Or do you mean you want to ask him to marry you - as in become your husband?
