OK so my frined gave her 30 day notice tyo her of a landlord,l and he is trying to charge her for that next months rent. But isn't it if you give you notic on the 5th of this mothn you have till the 5th of next month to move out with out extra rent money. I don't know if my state ( wisconsin) has any laws on this. Do you guys?

His 30 day notice needs to include one full rental period. If the rent is due on the 1st, notice needs to be given on the first. If he gives it on the 5th, then he owes another months rent.
