I have a plant that has sprouted at my golf course in El Paso, Tx. The plant is extremelly tall(approx. 20ft) it has very large leaves and they are all separate(not in bundles or grouped together). The plant then has very small yellow flowers that form the shape of tubes. Could somebody guide me in a direction or give there expertise as to what this plant may be.

Is the plant climbing something, or is it freestanding? My parents used to have a few morning glorys, what you describe sounds similar. They were blue, and were tube like, widening at the end. They climbed up whatever they were near (in our case, the porch).

Also, what shape are the leaves? I probably can't help too much, but someone else may be able to.

A photo would be best, but in the absence of a photo the following will help people identify your plant:

Shape of leaves, texture, glossy or hairy or what? Color of leaves (dark green, bluish green, etc)

Do veins in leaves run parallel to base or branch? If they branch do the branches come out opposite each other or are they staggered?

How do the leaves come out of the stem: alternating, spiralling, opposite each other, etc.

When you say the flowers form the shape of tubes, do you mean there is a single petal that wraps around on each flower forming a tube, or the flower itself is a long yellow tube, or there is a tubular "spike" of these small flowers?

Do you know if this a plant that landscapers have planted, or something growing wild? Basically, the better your observations, the more likely someone will be able to help you!
