    Frozen bank acct. exemptions
HI, My bank account has a restraining order because of wife's old credit card debt. They got me with almost 800 bucks in the account. My wife has 2 deposits from her work in one week. I have read that 90% of wages per week are exempt. Can I file a notice to vacate the order because of this or am I dreaming? I also offered the heartless Lawyer some of the 800 and a payment plan, they just laughed and said call them when one of you get a job so they can garrnish the wages, I know it's wrong not to pay but something's got to be done to stop these lawyers from destroying your life because of an old bill from RICH credit card companys. I know, I know... pay my bills but GEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEE

The credit card company had to go through the Courts - was your wife served with papers? Did she respond?

If you are able to set the judgment aside - they will take it back into Court and possibly just get another Judgment.

There is also no need for the Attorney to accept part of the $800 and a payment plan - if this has proceeded to Judgment, and it appears it has, he will collect by any legal means available to him.

Sorry to appear cold about this but I don't think anyone is out to destroy your life - it would appear to be your wife's debt and she owes the money.
