    Covering a Hamster Cage?
Okay, I have a question that I think I know the answer to, but I am just not sure.

We have a hamster that we got last year. She sleeps in my daughter's room, which is colder than any other room in the house (more exposed to the elements).

Anyway - I am afraid that the hamster will get to cold, can I cover the cage with a sheet or something that may provide more warmth?

Like I said, I think I know the answer - which is no, but I can't remember why..
    Any thoughts?

When my children had a hamster I covered its cage with a towel, but I allowed the front to be open so that he could see who was approaching it. It did not seem to bother him, I also provided nesting and a little house for him to make a bed in it. I hope he was quite snuggly.

Well I wouldn't because it could get stuffy and they might be covering all the breathing spaces like the bars which could be bad. Just put it in another room a warmer room wouldn't that be so much easier? I mean my hamster is in my room and I'm a teenager but my room is the hottest room in the house because its got the boiler in there.
    Get back to me. X
