Whirlpool Model LGQ9030PQ
Hi everyone. Here's what happened today. My wife went to use our 2 year old dryer, and nothing seemed to work. (it was working fine an hour before) I looked and the washer was not working either.
After a quick look, I saw that the breaker had popped. After resetting that, the washer began working again, but not the dryer.
I noticed the plastic covering by the bulb looked a bit dirty and after removing the cover, the bulb was quite obviously blown. I replaced the cover after taking the bulb out (I'll pick up a new bulb tomorrow) However, the dryer just won't do anything. The light inside was working fine earlier in the day so I feel whatever blew the breaker also took out the bulb.
I removed the back cover of the dryer and vacuumed out all the dust bunnies and thought maybe I would see something obvious, but alas, nothing at all just jumps out at me.
Could anyone give me any suggestions before I tear this thing apart and make a fool out of myself. I really appreciate any words of wisdom anyone can shed on this situation.
Thank you
Anthony
PS, right after writing this, Im going to see if I can check the resistance on the thermal fuse. Question though... would the thermal fuse blowing cause the breaker to pop? It's a dedicated circuit with just the washer & dryer on it.
