    Good morning.
We are looking at purchasing a 20 ft. travel trailer. I drive a 1999 dodge ram 1500 5.2 litre 4x4. My truck has 220,000 ks. I have it maintained and it runs very well. I have recently had the transmission done as well. The question I am concerned about is. Will my truck be able to pull a travel trailer with no problems, even if I have as many miles on the truck as I do? Also the travel trailer is new and only weighs 3200 lbs. I look forward to your response.

I can't advise on your truck's ability to tow that trailer adequately or not. It depends on load and terrain. However, if you have an automatic transmission, make sure you have an adequate auxiliary transmission cooler. In Texas, it's not uncommon for trucks to boil over ATF when pulling trailers, even on the flat interstate highway. Synthetic ATF is a huge benefit in towing, since it allows ATXs to run much cooler. Ensure engine cooling system is in peak shape.
