Need to move my old bathtub drain to previous center area of tub for new shower. The new shower drain is 2". The toilet 3" drain is too close -7 in- to put in fittings unless I attach sort of upstream- flow would be in a U. 2 in drain from sinks is 2ft away. Can I put shower connection on this drain?
I think this is a wet vent. If this is not OK could the vent position on toilet drain be moved?

You show a 3" stack. Will the new shower connect into the stack above or below where the toilet connects to? Just curious about the configuration.
Aside from being a tad long the new shower will be wet vented by the 1 1/2" lavatory vents. Good luck, Tom

The two 90 degree lines connect at the same level in the corner with feeding lines. So do you think the wet vent will work? I have read making a 180 degree turn to go upstream and then downstream using the drain from the toilet isn't ideal.
Any advice if this would pass standard code would be appreciated.

You're 3 inches long on your present configuration. However
Unless you get a fussy inspector this will get passed. If you haven't pulled a permit then I wouldn't worry about it. You do have another option, you could connect to the toilet/ bathtub vent with a combination wye and eighth bend and be wet vented that way.

I don't favor return bends in drainage. Any bend will slow the flow down, the sharper the bend the more restriction to the flow rate. Hope this addresses your concerns. Tom
