    Kitchen sink drain pipes
I would like to install the kitchen sink about 4-5 feet from the drain pipe that the plumber installed for this sink. Can I run the drain pipe that distance ? The cold and hot water feeds are the same distance away as well. Can this be done?

This move would put you over the five foot limit on a 2" drain from the trap to the vent. However you can get around that hurdle by installing a AAV,( air admittance valve,) just after the trap. Your sink would drain better with less clogs if you opened up the wall and coupled on to the drain line and brought it down inside the wall instead of elbowing off the stubout and bringing the drain down the outside wall. Good luck, Tom.
