Late 40s early 50 do it yourself hair style
I am appearing in a play and need to change my fine, moderately short hair into a style from the late 40s - early 50s. The budget is small so I have to do it myself... curlers and pin curls I guess. I'd appreciate your help as far as ideas and a pattern to follow. I have 4 months... plenty of time to practise and for the hair to grow a little longer if necessary. Any suggestions? Thank you

In the late 1940's, pincurls were very popular. To create pin curls, you will need wind the curl around the index finger. Then hold the curl firmly in place with a clip designed for pincurls. There are degrees of pincurl lift which are flat, semi-stand up, and stand up. Also there are patterns such as horizontal, vetical, and diagonal. And you must do the pincurls clockwise and counterclockwise to achieve results.

For best results, you should consider getting this hairstyle done by a skilled stylist. If you can't affrord to go to a salon, go to at beauty school. At a local beauty school, they offer great bargains on hairstyles.
