My air handler keeps freezing up & leaking freon.

Is there a way to fix it?

Or do I have to buy a new one?

That depends on where it's leaking and/or how bad it's corroded. I had mine repaired but when it began leaking again, I was in a position to replace the entire system (it was 22 yrs old) This would be a better time of the year to deal with it. I live in Florida, and when mine died, it was August and it was humid.
