    Motor home debt
What is the worse that can happen if I let my 75,000 dollar motor go back. I am getting so stressed out over this debt it is affecting my health. We made some bad choices plus our income was reduced. We have tried to sell it for the payoff price and also for 20,000 less and we would payoff the balance. We have tried to rent it out but no luck. I am retired but my husband works. I know this would affect my credit but not sure for how long.

Hi there! If you stopped paying the bill, the account would go into collections and eventually, the motor home would be repossessed by the lienholder. You would probably never be able to finance another one in the future because no banks would give you a loan for a motorhome since you had one repossessed. Not to mention the banks consider a motorhome a luxury item, not a necessity item like a car or house would be. And yes, it would negatively effect your credit. That's the worst that can happen. You will not go to jail or anything :)

There is more that can happen. Once the home is repossessed, the lender will attemtp to sell it. Possibly at auction. Whatever they receive for it will go towards your balance on the loan. Most likely, it will not cover the balance. The lender will then come after you for the balance. They can and will sue you. They can attach your bank accounts and garnish wages. Your credit rating will also go down the tubes, making it more difficult for you to get credit.
