Are you sure? Because I just bought some and I read the ingredients and I did not see that, unless it goes by another name. I would like to know if anyone was successful with this product as well...

Sorry, I don't understand why people of colour would like to lighten their skin to look more European? I'm from South Africa and the people here are proud of their ethnicities irrespective if they are Black, Brown, Indian, White or whatever. Again... Only in America...

It's a bit like asking why someone tans, wears makeup, dyes their hair, straightens it, curls it, loses weight, tries to gain weight, has cosmetic surgery etc.

It's all about personal preference and thankfully, most of us live in a free world where we are able to make choices.

And by the way, who said that they were trying to lighten in order to look more european

In american, there is a historic teaching that during the days of slavery, those who were lighter often had the jobs in the "big house" and the ladies who were lighter were often saw in favor of the master.

So sadly at least in my opinon it is a left over mental attitude that lighter is still better. ( actually I find this offensive and racist but then that is just me)

And I agree people should be proud of their heritiage and their skin color
Since lighter does not mean they are better, and beauty is of course in being your true self.

But then the make up industry helps sell this idea also, thus the millions spent in trying to make one light every year.

I can never understand why people have such issues with people wanting to brighten. lighten, bleach etc their skin colour.

I have never heard of someone who tans being asked why they are trying to be black. They just feel they look better with a tan and that is their personal preference. The sooner people stop getting hung up about why someone wants to do something and just accept that we are free to be who we want to be, the better.

One of the worst things someone can do to another is sit in judgement of their actions.
People need to stop analysing and allow people to be who they want to be. If it's not for you then that's your choice but please can people stop going on about the past and black oppression.

Sorry! But I don't understand why people are always talk about races and how others want to be like them! Since 7000 years ago some Far-Asian cultures are in love with having whiter and lighter skins, there are 1000 of history facts about it! Personally I'm a Persian and we are even lighter than some Europeans for example Italians or Spaniards, but I want to be lighter why? The answer is I only live once and I want to do whatever I want with my body!! If my girl friend wants me to look more white, I will do it for her, cause she is doing something that I want! Please take it easy! I started to use these Vitamins and nutritions back in Iran when I was 17! Its about having a healthy skin! When you use these things in the good amount your skin age less! And as I said I'm 100% against commercial brands and I don't watch TV!

Skin lightening issue is very new in U.S. it's very old in Asia ( from mid-east to far Asia )

Maharani don't even try to argue with this ShaunG, in another thread he called us Americans stupid and then he started to spell check our posts to prove that he is smart, its all about racism, he thinks that only Americans want to be white and the whole world should be black! Black is very beautiful indeed but we are free to do whatever we want with our bodies... ;)
