    Hair Coloring too dark
    Hello,
I recently colored my hair and it turned out darker than it should have. It was supposed to be brown and it turned out kind of burgundy. Is there anything that would take at least some of the color away if not all of it.
I would appreciate any help you may have to offer me.
    Thank you for your time.

    Sincerely,

    Kelly

If its burgundy it'll probably fade pretty quickly, most reds do.

Some brown hair colors contain a red and blue base which can turn your hair purple or burgundy. If you have dark/black hair, and want a brownish color, it would be best to pre-lighten the hair to a level that is lighter than the color you want and then apply the desired color. To tone down the burgundy hue and lift it to a brown shade, you can use a true brown color with a 20-volume peroxide developer in equal parts to achieve results. You will find these color applications at a beauty supply store.
