Is there a rescind period for a signed lease in Ohio
I live in Cleveland, Ohio. I signed a lease for an apartment without looking at the apartment, after seeing the apartment. I noticed some damage to the sink and the entire sink area. Long story, short, I did not take the keys to the apartment. I called the rental agent immediately, within an hour after seeing the apartment. She did not return my call she said she had not accessed her messages and her phone was dead. I asked to see an apartment at an adjoining property owned by the same Management realty corp. I was shown the apartment at 10:am, but she would not allow me to transfer my deposit to the other property, I had not taken possession and it was less than 24 hours after signing the lease. Can, I be held to this contract, if I cancel my deposit check.

    Hello gc:

I think you can. No, there is no right of recision for a lease. You should have looked before you bought.
