My question is what extra things can I do for dss to show them that I am ready for my children to come home? I was in prison for eight months and they took custody and I am so ready for them to come home. Please help.

Your best bet would be to ask your caseworker.

Defintiely a stable home would have a bearing. Steday income. It might also depend on why you were in jail.
