Why gandhiji was killed
Nathuram Godse killed him because Gandhi had fasted to get the Indian government to make a payment of funds to the government of Pakistan that was part of the partition plan. At first the Indian government was not going to make the payment but they later did so ;presumably due to the pressure Gandhi applied.
Godse was a member of Hindu Mahasabha ,a Hindu extremist group that had supported Gandhi but later broke with him over the issue of partition.
