Can I use a jack hammer to level part of my uneven basement?

TIM -, YOU didn't state just how much it is out of level, or how bad it is, or how much of the basement floor is that way we all need more information,? F.B.E.

Toward the front of the basement on the left side against the wall about 2 feet. It's like a small mountain on the uneven side and I would like to bring it down a bit so it won't be so noticeable.

Sure you can jack hammer it out but its not fun and you need to get the new concrete into the basement. The floor is likley 4" thick and removal will be fun too. If you are finishing the basement I could see your reasoning but if it remains unfinished I might pass on this project. Like any home project, its all up to you. You know you can grind concrete if its only a small thickness bump.
