Long one for you...
Starting from about the age of 18or 19 I started having bad lower tummy pains and rectal pains,so went to see a doc who tested me for any infections such as chlamdia and others and all came back clear which I knew they would I was still a virgin.years later the pains came and went and back and forth to the doctors ,at this point I had been married and my husband made me pursue it.finally got a doctor who lisened and started sending me for tests,had a laparoscopy and this confirmed pelvic adhesions,completely damaged tubes and overys and they said this was pelvic inflamatory disease,which I knew all my symptoms did fit but dissmissed because it is caused by chlymida and id been tessted 2 times before and my husband and I had no previos partners and waited till marrige before we had sex.you could tell the nurses didn't believe us but anyway after the surgery a blood test confirmed I had indeed had clymida at some point but couldn't be sure when?? So considering all this started when I was 18 and a virgin!! How could that be?? So I still can't get my head round why,if I had this how come blood test had failed to spot it,and without even having had sex!! :confused: has anyone else had a similer thing or am I still dreaming?? :confused:

From what you have written, I would highly suspect Endometriosis. Endo can cause the pain you mention, the adhesions, as well as damage the tubes and cause problems with the ovaries.

Besides endometriosis, pelvic adhesions could be the result of prior pelvic , lower abdominal surgery - if you have had any in the past.

Rectal pain? If your bowel movements are abnormal , that might indicate an inflamatory bowel disease [ crohn's, ulcerative colitis ].

The other consideration is, and I hate to put it this way, has your husband been tested and or treated for chlamydia or gonorrhea?

If there is rectal pain, this can also be indicative of Endometriosis. So, with all of the symptoms already mentioned, if rectal pain is also an issue, it is imperative that the OP been seen and evaluated for Endo. That said, the only way to diagnose Endo is via laparoscopy. I know the OP has already had one, but doesn't sound like the MD found this. That could be because the MD is not familiar with all of the ways Endo appears. Further, if the MD did not send the adhesions removed or any thing else removed during her surgery, there is no way to know for certain Endo was not there.

So, it is important the OP find someone who is familiar and well versed in treating Endo.
