    Dads rights
If the dad gives up his rights does he still have to pay child support?

Yes. The only way he would not pay child support would be if the birth mom married or remarried and her husband wanted to adopt the child and the bio-dad agreed to the adoption.

If you took the time to read some of the many threads with this same question you could have saved yourself the time to post.

Bottomline here is giving up rights is not an easy thing to accomplish. Generally its only granted when there is someone willing to adopt or the parent presents a danger to the child. Even in cases where it is granted, it doesn't mean they are giving up the responsibility to support the child.
