    Light switch amperage
I recently changed the light switch in my bathroom. I had gotten a hold of a Spec. Grade 20a switch from my workplace. When I took the old switch out, it was a 10a switch. Is using this switch going to be OK in this situation? It is only controlling a bathroom fixture with 2 60 watt light bulbs.

    Thanks.

I am assuming that this is just a heavy duty switch. If it is similar to your old switch it is OK to use. It could handle many more lights on a heavier circuit and breaker.

Thank you for the reply. They are both single pole switches, and the new is an industrial grade switch.
