Fan kicks on when heat does
    Hello
I have a williamson oil forced air furnace. I had a lux digital thermostat and replaced it with a programmable one. Now when my heat kicks on it turns the fan on with it not allowing the hot air chamber to get warm and send cool air until the air is warm...

I am not familiar nor does the directions really explain where to set the jumpers on the thermostat. It is a lux cag1500 series... any help would be greatly appriciated

One jumper says gas or electric set it for gas and the fan should act normal again.
Look at your directions to see witch one that is.

Thanks, there was a small panal on the back of the thermostat that needed taken off to find the jumpers... I set it for gas and it is fine... now I just have to figure out how to set the limit switch so it runs right... we just bought this house a month ago. It has a brand new furnace in it, the lady had it installed in June and died in October so it was never used last year or ever in fact...
