Hy! I'm almost 17 years old... I began shaving about 2 years ago. My main problem is that I have short, soft hairs on my face, from very close to my nose to around the area underneath my eyes... My question is if I have to shave those hairs too or what?. I haven't heard of anyone shaving that high... and don't know what to do... (I'm worried that they'll grow thicker) (... sorry for my poor english)

I hope you don't mind taking shaving advice from a woman. I shave my boyfriend's face sometimes and he likes it.

1. First you wet your face with warm water because it makes the hairs stand up and it will removed easier. 2. Shake the shaving cream and apply to your beard in an upward circular motions. 3. Then shave downward in the direction of the hair growth from your sideburns toward your mandible using long, even strokes. Be sure to pull your skin taut before each stroke. 4. Rinse your razor with warm water after every stroke or two to keep it from getting clogged with hair. 5. Shave the area around your chin using an upward stroke. 6. When shaving under your chin, pull the razor from your throat area toward your chin. 7. Shave your upper lip, keeping the skin tight by curling your lip over your front teeth. 9. Wash off any excess shaving cream and examine your face for stray hairs. Check the edge of your jaw, around your ears, and near your lips and nostrils for missed hairs. Go back with the razor to shave any hairs you missed. 10. Apply cold water or after shave lotion.

It's normal for men to have hairs on their nose and underneath their eyes. The reason men don't shave those areas is because underneath the eyes and around the nose are sensitive areas. I'm in the beauty business and I know that shaving does not cause the hair to grow back thicker or stronger. It's okay to shave those areas but you should be really careful when your doing it.

Sorry but I don't recommend shaving your face only because I did this when I was younger and the hairs grow out so much faster and darker. I recommend threading! It's a technique that requires nothing more than sewing thread. It only costs me $18 to do my whole face (I've got those annoying soft hairs just like you), and I get it done once every 3 months. I feel a lot more confident. They even shape your eyebrows too!
