I have noticed my shower pressure has gotten really low lately and it barely even has enough prssure for the shower itself to come on when turned on it has a single nob for adjusting the hot/cold temp and for turning it on/off and it has the lift nob to activate the shower any idea on how to fix or get more pressure for the shower? Please help I now nothing about plumbing.

I had the same pr0blem with my sh0wer! I hate l0w water pressure.. this might n0t be much help but there's s0mething yu can get rem0ved fr0m yur

The part that Stephannie's searching for is called a "water saver". To remove it you must unscrew the shower head from the shower arm and pry out the little round washer with the holes around the outside and toss it. This will increase the volume and pressure. Regards, Tom

I think you might be miss understanding me its not just the shower head its also the tub water faucet to it also just tricels out takes about 1 hour just to fill up the tub when we first moved into this house a year ago it wasn't that bad at all it would only take about 20 minutes to fill tub now it runs so slow it take 1 hour to fill all the other faucets in the house work fine with great water pressure

Sounds to me that the inlet to the mixing valve is getting clogged up with crude. If the tub doesn't get good pressure the shower won't either. And you did say that this is a new problem so I'm going with crude. Shut off your main, open the faucet at the sink to blow off pressure, remove the handle and escutcheon (plate thing) likely you will see a ring shaped plate with two screws holding in the cartridge, remove and inspect the inlet ports on the back. If there is no plate or screws tell us what you see. Speedball probably can identify your valve.

Your answer probably helps a lot if I new what you was talking about I know nothing about plumbing.But you if your talking about the faucet at the tub or the control nob at the tub that controls the water temp and flow

Are you talking about The knob that you have to pull out to turn the water on and off and turn left and right to adjust temp?

Yes, remove the knob that turns on the water and controls the temp. If there is s screw showing in the center of the handle remove that, if no screw then there may be a plastic cap with a design on it that is covering the screw. If you have absolutely no plumbing knowledge are you sure you want to try this?
