Training in two weeks for transit police and I can not do a sit up properly what todo
In two weeks I am scheduled to take a physical exam for The Metro transit Police... and right now my confidence is extremely low because I feel like I am not going to make it through the test... now this is something I really want to do but I am not that fit... meaning I can not remember the last time I went to a gym and did some real exercises... lol I just had a baby 3 months ago by c- section and trying to do a proper sit up has been a challenge for me, and part of this exam is doing 24 sit ups 15 push ups 1 1/2 run, 300 meter run, jumping 15 inches and scaling a 5 ft wall... now I can do crunches but I don't know if that would be acceptable during the training... but no matter how much I try I just can not manage to do a full sit up... what can I do? If anything besides giving up, because I really want to do this... do you think that it may be hard for me to do a full sit up because I have some belly fat or do you think that it could be because of the surgery from having the baby? What can I do to help train myself for this exam as far as the sit ups...

I don't think you've given yourself enough time to condition your body, even though the testing was scheduled beyond your control.

You can always plead your case with them and see if they'll grant you a reprieve until you're back in shape. Are you able to do the rest of the testing requirements, like the push-ups or the vertical jump of 15 inches?

It just seems to me that 2 weeks with a recent C-section and no prior physical conditioning just isn't going to be enough time :(
