I need to find prices on transmission pans I searched everywhere and I can find prices just not prices for a 1997 Ford Taurus but if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated or if you have any ideas how to fix a cracked transmission pan then that would also be helpful. I don't think it is a good idea to fix it.

You could also check with junk yards but they probably want to sell something like that with the whole tranny.

What engine and transaxle do you have?

Thoughts:

. Depending upon where, and how bad, the crack is, you may be able to thoroughly clean and braze a patch. A local MIG welder might be able to do a great job repairing it.

. Check with local and national salvage yards.

I have a 2000 Taurus, with the 3.0L Duratec engine and AX4N transaxle.
