Can police arrest a loan defaulter?
Hi, I used to work in one of top retail firms in uk, and earned a good income. And I had quite a good credit rating. But last August 2006 my mother got ill, and needed a large amount of money to treat her back in india. So I had to borrow, and owed more than £60,000 on credit cards and loans. Unfortunately my mother passed away.then I started drinking and gambling wasting all of my money.now I have no money I am in india without a job. If I go back to uk, can the police arrest me, for defaulting payments or is there is a nother solution?
