If the inducer motor is running and its not trying to light you may have a restricted vent pipe or bad ignitor on the furnace. How old is the system?
The furnace was built in 1989. The main burner seems to be running at times. Are there a set of points that signal the blower to run after main burner is running? Thanks again for the help.
Check the blower relay
Go to the sequence of operations of a gas furnace in https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/heatin...ons-58313.html
Your furnace is likely new enough that a timer on the circuit board operates a relay to start the blower. If it doesn't come on, a temperature sensor shuts the furnace down, and it tries to start again.
Whether the timer or the relay is failing, likely you are out $$$$$$$$$$$$ to replace the board.
