    SICK 12 week Laborder
What can I give my pup at home until he goes to the vet? He's 12 wekks old, we did get him from the human society but he was fine then. About 3 days ago on Wednesday night early Thursday morning we woke up to a pile of dog food that he had vomit. Still looked like dogs food, it wasn't liquid or anything, he was still an active dog after that.(playing, eating, drinking, jumping, running, etc) Then on Friday he woke up pottied, drank some water but no food. This lasted all day/night.He still drinks the water but no food. I ALREADY know he needs to go to the vet but I'm unable to take him until Fri,Nov 2, is there anyone out there that has had a sick pup and did HOME REMEDIES until you made it to the VET. Does anyone have any suggestions PLEASE. My pup just looks sad to me/makes he sad knowing I can take him until later in the week. Does anyone have/ or known to give home redemies?
Signs/symtoms:not playing, eating, doesn't respond to when the door is open to go out anymore,is drinking water that's it,when outside he just goes potty then returns in the house, which normally he'll play with his toys, family, etc. None of that is happening. He tends to be real sluggish which he was doing at first either. He's a real playful pup that's why I feel he's not feeling well. I know no one here is a vet but maybe you've experiences these things before too/or someone you know

Shaunette you need to post what the symptoms are, that your dog is having. Also no one on here is a vet. But they may be able to give you some advice or suggestions.

    Thanks for giving detailed symptoms.
It is a good sign that he is drinking water and not having diarrhea or the contiued vomitting. Going a few days without eating will not kill him, just don't hoover over his food bowl and upset him even more.
If you are really concerned about him not eating. Go to the top of the dog forum and in Labmans advice there is a formula on what you can feed ill dogs.
Also if you feel that he can not wait till the 2nd to see a vet try to make a deal with them on the payment.. maybe a post dated check, call the humane society or try a check payment advance service or borrow the money from a friend/relative. Maybe someone with better advice will answer you soon. Good Luck

Some of the digestive upset could be from changing food and environment. I don't like the lack of energy. If he develops diarrhea, you must get him to the vet at once. It could be parvo, untreated quickly kills many young puppies.

There isn't much in the way of home remedies. Many things may make the problem worse.

I too don't like the sound of things. His lack of energy and vomiting, refusal to eat is a big clue that he is ill. It could be any number of illnesses. It could be early in the onset of parvo virus or he could have chewed and swallowed something when you weren't looking. A home remedy when you don't know what is going on is a very bad idea. Please find the time to call the vet and get your pup in for an exam asap.
