Late period - could I be pregnant?
My period is about 2 and half weeks late. Since my last period I only had sex once and we used protection, and to my knowledge the condom didn't snap or break or anything.

Ive been researching reasons your period can be late but nothing fits in. I'm currently taking a year off uni, I work a very relaxed job that pays well, I'm not having any stressful dilemas with close friends or family - everything in life is very breezy and easy at the moment. I'm not stressed about anything (except this late period!)

I haven't had any dramatic lifestyle changes recently, and I'm eating the same as I always have when I have a normal cycle. The only thing I could think of was this anti-biotic I started taking a few weeks ago. Its called 'minomycin' - its to clear your skin. Looked up side effects on the internet(nothing about delaying cycles) AND asked my pharmacist if it could have any affect on my cycle and she said it really shouldn't have any effect at all.

Is it possible that I'm pregnant?? I don't see how... like really don't see how. But what else could it be? In terms of 'symptoms'... I don't know if I've been nautious... in the last few days I've been half-vomiting... it just travels up my throat but doest go anywhere. Well I stop it. (sorry for the details its kind of gross). I've read that sore breasts can also be a sign... one of them has been a bit odd and itchy and uncomfortable.

I haven't taken a home pregnancy test, because again its just... I don't think its possible. But like I said I'm starting to get worried now. This time last week I figured id wait a week. Still nothing. Then yesterday I said id wait till the end of the weekend. Is that just irresponsible?
    What should I do?

It's possible, but not very very likely.. condoms are very effective, but not 100%. It may have just started as your period being a little late and now you're so stressed about it that it has been further delayed. I would suggest taking a test to find out, it's not irresponsible not to, as it's your body and you can do whatever you wish with it, but it may help put your mind at ease and if it's negative, it's negative and you will relax and probably start, and if it's positive, you can decide what to do then.

    Good luck!
