    Pilot light too big
I have a State Select 40 gal HW tank. I use it for hot water slab (radiant) heat in my attached garage. I fired it up this week, and the pilot kept going out. I changed the thermocouple and now the pilot light stays on, but it is very strong and high. Almost as if too much gas is going to the pilot light. I've looked for an adjustment, but can't find one. Any ideas?

Thanks for the response. I looked in the end of the pilot and found the orifice had fallen out when I was blowing it out. I found it on the floor where I was working. I replaced the orifice and we're back in business. Thanks for your response. It pointed me in the right direction.
