Searching for horse movie
I saw a movie in about 1982 and I've been searching for the title ever since. It may have been in black and white. I saw it on the Disney channel but it may not have been a Disney movie. It is about a cowboy from Wyoming who ends up in World War I. He is training a horse for combat and he teaches the horse to lie down on its side so it won't get shot. I think there is a lot of fog in the movie, and night scenes. The scene I remember most vividly is when the cowboy is riding the wild, bucking horse in a big arena. He tames the horse and his trainer, an old man, says, "Now she'll be your friend for life." It is a serious movie, not whimsical like Gallant Bess. Anyone, please, do you know this movie? I will be forever grateful.
