    Different level floor
    Hi there
I have taken out a double door size portion of the wall between my 2 living rooms, so I have either one room or with doors shut 2 rooms. The problem is I would like to lay laminate flooring which I have bought already but there is a difference in the heights of the floors in each room. That isn't all, if only! The height difference gets less because the floors slope down. I really don't want to go down the self levelling compound route because I have fitted furniture and don't want to ruin it and really the difference is only noticeable on the door threshold.
I know its complicated to explain, but, really need some ideas,
    Cheers

I am not the original asker here, but have the same problem. There is a 5/8 on one side to 7/8 difference on the other side of the slope. Thank you so much for any suggestions!
