Can a lien be put on a home for not paying child support and then removed before the home is sold?
A lien certainly could be placed for back child support though its an unusual step. Once placed, the lien could be voluntarily removed if the account is bought up to date.
The person who filed the lien can also remove the lien at any time if they wish to do so - and, yes, I've seen the County Attorney lien against real property for unpaid child support.
