    Eviction process and timeline
We were given a 3 day notice to pay or vacate the home demanding full payment by Monday at 3pm Oct 29th. I had spoken to the realtor earlier in the letting him know we would be late. He asked if I could come up with both Oct/Nov rent by Nov 5th. I said yes, he said that was okay. Now he brings me this notice and tells me I need to pay by Monday at 3pm or be out. He did tell me write an email to the owner explaining my situation, (which I thought he had already told to him 3 weeks ago when I spoke to him) and pay what ever I could and maybe he would let me stay. I looked up some eviction info and it seems to me that this is just the first step in the process. My question is how long do I really have before I and my family will be in the street?

This is the first step in the process. If you refuse to leave they will need to file for an eviction order. This will necessitate a court hearing and it could take anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks to schedule. If you are able to bring your rent up to date at the hearing the eviction will be probably be dropped.
