I am a christian. I know what it means to be in the will of God . I also know unfortunately how to be in short of His glory . I am now coming back to the Lord again. Praise God. I would suggest going to local churches in the community until you find a good fit. Take some time to talk to the people, see what they are like and how nice they are, see if you agree with what the church teaches. Also, you could try joining Narcotics Anonymous. They will give you a mentor to help you stay strong. My brother was in NA for several years and it really helped him to stay clean. His mentor was a local pastor and really helped him a lot. You can let them know that you would like a Christian mentor and I'm sure they will be glad to find one for you. The most important thing you can do when trying to stay clean is to surround yourself with good people and stay busy. Find a good church and get involved in some of their activities like bible study, a craft or baking club, breakfast club, etc. This way instead of just one person, you will have a whole group of loving people to support you. You can also look for support groups at churches. Where I live, the Methodist church has several, other churches do also. You could also talk to the pastor and let him/her know you need support. They can have groups of people pray for you. Also, the Methodist church where I live has a great program called "Foster Friends". One of the assistant pastors runs it. It is a group of volunteers who feel that God has called them to reach out to people in the community who need support and family. Just ask the church to put you on their list. I don't attend the church, but I work with one of the pastors. When he found out my grandma, who raised me for 4 years when I was little, had passed away, he called the people in his group. I was so grateful when I got home from work, I had wonderful messages on my machine from these people letting me know they were there for me. They dropped by to see me at work, and sent me little thinking of you cards. It was really cool how they reached out. They even went to the funeral with me. It helped me get through a hard time when my family wasn't around for me. Hope this helps! God bless you!

Also, look for Celebrate Recovery. It's a Christian 12 step program based on the Bible.

First please don't dismiss the non christain support just to help get off the drugs, anythingand everything that helps.

But you should be trying to go to a local church, and hopefully the pastor can lead you to some support groups also
