    Can I apply for my mother who is 60 years old for a UK visa as my dependent. I am a british citizen?

    I don't think you can classify your mother as 'dependent' on anything. Anyway, she is only 60.

    You don't state the nationality of your mother but generally she will get a visa as long as you sign something saying you will sponsor her.
