    Staircase Pressurisation in multi storied building
    Hello,

    I, gowrish working as a jr. engineer in one of the developing organisation in bangalore.

    Could any one help in knowing about staircase pressurisation.

    Means why it is needed, how to calculate and other.

    Do the needful.

    The concept of staircase pressuriation is to make positive pressure in staircase.
    This is safety standard this is adopted in all high rose duildings ( NFPA standard)
    This is used during fire in the building for people to evacuate through staircase to prevent fire / smoke entering staircase case area & to maintain positive pressure
