    Basement drain traps
When I installed my floor drains in a basement with a concrete floor I totally forgot to add traps and now I am getting an odor in my basement. How can I fix this problem without breaking up the concrete. There must be some kind of a trap that could possibly fit inside a four inche pipe. This is what I have for drain pipe. Maybe somebody has a fix for this::) :) ;)

That was a fairly big slip up John. If you want to get rid of the smell but not break the concrete you can install a large rubber plug that has a wing nut on top that spreads the plug once it is in the drain. The drawback is obvious, you have to manually remove the plug if there is water trying to go down the drain. I'm afraid you'll be renting a jack hammer soon. It isn't as hard as it may seem to you right now. Think of all the work you did when you put the drain and floor in the first time, this is small in comparison
