I bought a new Katana Phone and then switched providers shortly after. I have heard that if the phone is "unlocked" I can use it with my new carrier by just switching the sim card. How do I do this? Can I do this myself? And if so how?

If you call the provider and tell them you want the unlock code they will give it to you. What you should say to guaraNTEE they give it to you is that you are goijnng to italy for a few months and they will give it to you so that y7ou can use your phone over there.
