I have a domestic situation. DSL modem to wireless router to switch (for the wired computers). I have wirelessly-connected computers all over the house, (Wireless g), with variable signal strength. For the computers that don't get a good wireless signal, I invested in mini-repeaters by meraki networks (Meraki Wireless Network | Affordable Internet Solution | Free WiFi) which solved my problem of getting an internet signal to the furthest computers very simply. I plugged one repeater into my Netgear router, the second into an appropriately placed power plug near the distant computers and got a great signal.

My problem is that, while I can "see" my combined Netgear wired and wireless network and thus am able to exchange files, music, photos, etc on that network, I cannot (obviously) see the computers attached to the second, meraki, network.

What I want is one network, not two. The problem with not just going with the second (and more convenient, in terms of signal strength) network, is that it's wireless only, and I then can't get to "see" my wired computers attached to the switch and original router and thus exchange files, etc.

How do I bridge or join these two wireless networks into one (if that is possible)?

Yes, I have considered that. What I need to know, of course is [B]how[B] to do that!

There is not enough info on the Miraki page to make sense of their solution. It seems as if one device goes to the router and the others act as repeaters. As for actual setup. I don't have a clue.

I'm confused with the terminology. You don't plug repeaters into your router. You can plug access points to your router, but not repeaters. The behavior you might be describing, I think, can be explained if they are access points. The DSL network would be separate and the Miraki network would be separate, but the can both access the Internet.

Repeaters are stand alone devices. They only need a few pieces of info to function.
Channel, SSID, Encryption info and MAC address of AP/repeater it's repeating, and a static IP address on your DSL network for management. All would be set up with the same SSSID, channel, encryption info. The MAC address it's repeating might be different and their IP addresses would be different.

You might have to turn off the wireless side of the DSL because you effectively don't need it. If Miraki is incompatible with your DSL wireless and they have the same SSSID, there might be confusion there as well.

You cannot troubleshoot things without effective documentation and this has none. It's a sell sheet. Even the setup guide is really a wiring guide. There is no setup information there. The wireless router and put your network on the map seems like two technologies and Miraki doesn't separate them.
