    Bananas and Potassium
    Hi,

About how many bananas would you have to eat daily to have a problem with high levels of potassium, assuming that there are no kidney or other health problems?

Well if you are normal and are on a 2000 calorie intake level a day- you need about 3500 Mg. of potassium a day, 1 banana contains about 467 Mg. So elevating it in addition to potassium in other foods would take some work, with normal kindeys, amounts of extra potassium is excreated in the urine as fast as you eat it, generally. Too high levels of potassium are related to the health of your heart. Causing weakness and irregular heart beat.
