HB Eastridge fan wiring for remote and 3 way
I have two wall switches and wires for the fan in th ceiling are white/black/red and ground.
The receiver from the fan has just white and black on one side and 4 wires on other. The four are white/black/blue and orange. The white and black run the motor and the orange is for one light and the blue is for the lower light. I connected the black and red to the black on the receiver and all others match their respective colors. The remote will only turn on one light and the lower light button on the remote turns on/off the fan. What is the correct wiring scheme?

First Black and Red are Hot wires. Are you using power to the switches or are you bringing power to the overhead ans using switch loops to got to the wall?

The Red line is often used to bring power to a second switch.

Please try this, cap off the Red line. Wire Cap the two black wires on the fan in side of the receiver. Tie all White (Neutral) together using a wire cap. Tie all ground wires together.

On the fan out side Black to Black (Fan) White to White (See above) Blue to blue and orange to orange.

I suspect that will work for you.

CFR, is the resident expert on ceiling fans I suspect he will correct me if I am wrong so please wait for verification from him.

Ok, first of all, you should connect the black wire from the receiver to EITHER black or red and cap off the other. But that shouldn't cause the problem you are describing.

If you have the other four wires matched up correctly, you may have a defective unit. Are you sure you don't have the two sets of white/black mixed up?
