    Plastic Tongue rings
I want to get my tongue pierced, but my parents have spent thousands of dollars on braces.

Is it true that a tongue ring can move your teeth and 'undo' everything the braces corrected?
If so, is there any way to get a plastic tongue ring so that you don't hurt/move your teeth?

Tongue rings can't move your teeth, but they can wear away your tooth enamel if you click or rub the jewelry on your teeth constantly.

You can get plastic tongue rings, but you have to have the surgical steel jewelry first, and can change it to plastic after it has healed. :)
