I don't know that there is any one "correct" way. I do think that it is important that it be neat, organized, legible and understandable. In short, look very professional.

I like to use Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for my bid proposals, estimates and billing sheets. Depending on the work that is to be done, my format may vary some. I do interior and exterior painting, furniture refinishing, handyman work and piano tuning/repair/refinishing. They all might require slightly different formats.

What is the business that you are doing, please? It would help to know that in order to give you a better answer.

Good advice Clough, I would only add that you might want to also include disclaimers to protect yourself.

Check the bid - a lot have specific directions on how to submit and how the documentation is supposed to be prepared. If there's a website associated with the bid or phone number of a contact person check there as well. Otherwise, as Clough said, keep it professional.

Old and now archived thread that is now attracting piggybacks.

Sufficient enough answers have been given.

Original poster has never returned to address the responses.

    Thread is now CLOSED.
