I've been wanting a new mobile for AGES but just can't think of which one to get. Then finally, one day I received an email about the new sidekick LX. I really want to get it but there is just one problem( you can skip till the last paragraph if you want a quick story)

I really can't wait any longer and I decided that I should buy it over the net (because I live half way around the world that is australia). But then my dad warned me that I need to activate the sidekick LX and unlock so I can use it :confused: I was so annoyed

But my question is, if I buy an unlocked(activated) sidekick LX, will I be able to use the mobile in australia??

It's locked because it was made for a different network, but you can take it to your service provider and I am sure they can help unlock and activate your phone.

Check with your service provider first to see if device will work on their system. If it does, you can buy an unlocked device and just insert your SIM card from your current phone.
