I am 27 years old, I have 2 children aged 9 and 7 and my husband and I have decided to go again for a third time. I am presently 10 days late and there is still no sign of my period.

I have done 2 pregnancy tests and they both have been negative. I am a little worried as I had CIN 3 2 years ago but was told it shouldn't lower my chances of having a child but when I am pregnant I will need a stich in my cervix.

6 weeks ago I had my appendix out, so I am wondering if maybe this is the reason for me being so late as I have always had a 28 day cycle.if anyone is or has experienced the same symptoms I would love to hear the outcome.

If the tests are negative, it may just be stress and stress on your body from the surgery, but if your period doesn't show up in another few days, I'd probably go and see a doctor to figure out what's going on.

Also, I hope you have good luck conceiving if you want another baby!

I agree, that it may just be late due to the recent surgery your had. But some women don't register positive on a HPT until later in pregnancy.

If you have taken multiple tests and they are negative, and still no period... I would say its time to call the doctor to get a blood test to make sure.

Yesterday I started having brown spotting - not sure what that means- did another HPT and was negative. I am thinking the spotting is a period - but its so light.

Anyone have advice?

I would venture to say you are spotting and going to start your period soon... if the flow doesn't increase, it is possible that this period is just going to be super light... I have those very often, where I don't even technically need to even wear a pantyliner.
