Hook up Dish Network to DVD (recorder) VCR and then TV
I have a DVD recorder, a VCR and I want to be able to hook them up to both record and play on both or either the VCR or DVD. Can you tell me how to hook them up.

The DVD reqards another step and that is a RF Modulator .

Thanks very much, pulling hair out. Now.

You mention using an RF modualtor, so chances are your television has only one input correct? If so you will need a video/audio switcher.

It worked and then I had to move the room around (wife) and I can't get it to go back together and show anything. I bought the RF Modulator from Radio Shack and had gone to their site and hooked it up the way they said. Now nothing. Thanks.

Yes, older TV in basement, neet to buy a new one. Apparently the DVD recorder Panasonic need the modulator too. I am so confused.

If both need a modulator then you should get a switcher before the RF modulator, this way you only need one. But you do need a switcher.

Can you tell me more about a switcher, where do I get one and what does it do?

I have the same problem, I have a modulator and another point of interest is that the vcr/vhs recorder does not have a built in tunner, but I only want to record what I am watching. Will I need a audio video switch also.

Start a new topic with your model numbers for the TV, VCR, and anything else you have. Then we should be able to post with directions on how to connect everything.
